Why Are Pinky Toes So Messed Up?
Of all the body parts you can feel insecure about in the summer, literally head to toe, up here, up here, for me, it's my toe. Not my feet, but that claw-like, baby, little nubbin toe. Truly, why are pinky toes so messed up? Now maybe you are thinking, "Oh I need it for balance." But that's not true. It's the big toe that you need for balance, because it's a major weight-bearing joint, like the ankle. But when it comes to the pinky toe, we've identified three very medically sound categories.
Which is basically a perfect toe (it doesn't exist.) So we asked people here at Fusion what kind of toe they had, and here's what they said. I think I have the loner. I think mine is the clinger, because it's always sticking to the other toe like it needs a friend.
The unicorn. It's as close to perfect as mother nature could muster. I have to have a unicorn toe. Because like the unicorn, my feet are perfect.
Now before you go hating on your toe too hard, you might want to know what it's up against. Life is not easy for the pinky toe. There are three major health risks facing your little claw. Number one: trauma to the toe. Like broken bones. Number two: the hammer toe symptom. That basically refers to any deformity on the toe.
And that can lead to number three: toenail problems, like ingrown toenails or fungal infection. So before you go lopping off that puppy, and listen, some people have, let me remind you that many tour de forces in the world cinema and beyond have paid tribute to the beauty of the five-toed foot. So let's not let it end this way.
I will not abide another toe.
