Hi I'm Dr. Trevor Cate's, owner of The Spa Dr. Skincare line and I want to talk with you today about the skin microbiome. When I was doing research for my skincare line, I learned a lot about the skin microbiome that I didn't actually learn in naturopathic medical school so I want to share some of that with you today. Well, I look at skin as our magic mirror which gives us great clues about our overall health and can help when we look at what are those underlying causes and really address those that's really is what's going to help our patients have that beautiful glowing skin that they all want to have. And so one of the things that really is a big factor in and holding our patients back is you're probably where is the gut microbiome and our gut that got health of our patients. So we address those issues, a lot of times that clears up skin issues you've probably seen that in your practice your patients maybe have dull dry skin or they have skin problems like acne rosacea premature aging and you work on those got issues in the gut microbiome lot of times the skin clears up. Well that's because there's a great correlation direct correlation between our gut microbiome and our skin microbiome you're probably aware of that and how that can help transform your patients skin.

But did you know that the products that your patients put on their skin also impact their skin microbiome. A lot products that patients are using have a high pH, and they're actually what we want is our patients to have a pH in the 4.6 to 5 pH range because that's when our skin is the healthiest. When our skin is less likely to break out and anytime type of skin issues from acne eczema psoriasis and also with premature aging.

So when we use products that have that that mild acidity is going to help promote the skin microbiome which when you use that combination approach of addressing the gut microbiome issues and then you also topically use things that are going to help promote the skin microbiome that might be the missing piece in your practice if you really been struggling with your patients skin issues that's what i found was the missing piece. So that's what led me to create the spa Dr. Skincare line and I'm so happy to share with you it's a four-step system and it has that mild acidity that your patients need those products that they need to help the skin ph which then helps your skin microbiome. So that they can have that clear glowing skin that youthful look that they all want to have. So I hope this gives you some great information you can start using your practice today.
