Some people have a physical cause of sleep disruption with something called restless legs syndrome. Now this an unpleasant feeling. People can find it hard to describe, but it's deep within the legs and it makes you want to move. It usually occurs in the evening or the first half of the night and this leads to people lying in bed unable to keep their legs still, kicking off the duvet covers. Now if you have this problem there are great treatments available. But you would need to talk to your general practitioner. Some people have had restless legs for many years and get it treated but are left with some insomnia. So even when their legs are comfortable they still can't fall asleep easily.
