Myung Kim's Acupuncture Theory on Cancer
Myung C. Kim, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, published the book "Acupuncture for Self Defense" in 1971. The book is currently out of print, but will be revised in the near future. This book theorized that acupuncture points can be used either to paralyze or heal someone. Pressing LARGE INTESTINE POINT #4, located on the hand, and L.I.
POINT #11, located on the elbow, can cause paralysis and disturb the large intestine's functions. However, if acupuncture is used on the same points, the treatment can relieve pain and improve the large intestine's functions. Dr.
Kim's 1997 book, "Oriental Medicine and Cancer", theorized that cancer is not only caused by internal bodily conditions, but also by external bodily injuries. His theory points out that the western medical point of view on cancer overemphasizes conditions such as: nutrition, exercise, environmental pollution, etc. Dr. Kim researched and found that most breast and female reproductive organ cancers are caused by physical injuries such as spinal injury, surgery scars, sports injuries, and even simply sports practice especially in western countries.
Dr. Kim first sanitizes the patient's skin with alcohol and then prepares a disposable acupuncture needle. The needle's diameter is only 0.2mm (varies). Since it is very thin, it is difficult to insert so a plastic tube supplied with the needle is used for fast insertion and pain prevention. Dr. Kim rubs and moves his palms over the needle(s) and asks the patient if he/she feels Chi energy The patient says that he can feel it and thus feels great.
What is an Acupuncture Channel? If we dissect a human body, we can see the artery, vein and nerve lines but an Acupuncture Channel is not tangible or visible; it is a Chi energy line. You may learn Chi Gong or Tai Chi to feel and understand Chi energy.
