Lanelle Durst, L.Ac.

By: Lanelle Durst

Hello and welcome to On Point Wellness. My name is Lanelle Durst and I'm a licensed acupuncturist who specializes in five element acupuncture I feel so fortunate to be able to do this work. It's great to have a job where I can help people like you feel the best in their body mind and spirit so you can enjoy life to the fullest. I'd like to share with you a little bit about me and how I got into acupuncture. I started out a first career working in accounting and finance in high-tech companies for about eighteen years and while I was successful in this career it just felt like something was missing. I wasn't passionate about it. While I was working in accounting and finance I had been suffering for many years from pain in my neck from an automobile accident and also in my low back from a gymnastics accident I tried many different therapies for this pain including chiropractic, physical therapy, massage and even another form of acupuncture and I just didn't get any lasting results from it a friend of mine eventually talked me into trying 5 element acupuncture.

I was skeptical but my friend was so thrilled with their results that I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did I had I improvement from my pain of at least eighty percent after a few treatments and I also just felt better in every level of my body mind and spirit better than I'd felt in years so that sparked an inspiration in me. If I could help others feel as good as this helped me, what a fulfilling career that would be. I completed four years of study of Traditional Chinese medicine at Five Branches University in San Jose Calif and I'm licensed by the California acupuncture board. I also took a two year intensive course in five element acupuncture taught by two master appretices of the late Professor JR Worsley. He's known worldwide as a master healer and teacher of this form of acupuncture I became interested in nutrition response testing after I discovered that even with the best Acupuncture Care sometimes I couldn't help my patients with all of their symptoms and it makes sense because if you have an underlying nutritional deficiency or a stressor affecting your body such as heavy metals chemicals, food sensitivites, immune challenges or scars that aren't addressed then your body won't be able to repair itself So with nutrition response testing I'm able to identify which organs or areas aren't functioning optimally and then determine the exact whole food nutritional supplement that your body needs to repair itself. Nutrition response testing works well in combination with acupuncture or on its own as well well I earned an advanced clinical certification in nutrition response testing in December 2013 With the tools of five element acupuncture and nutrition response testing I'm able to provide individualized holistic healthcare to my patients who have received health and wellness and relief from a variety of different ailments including digestive disorders, stress fatigue, insomnia, women's health problems and infertility, just to name a few So thank you for watching this video and getting to know me a little bit better and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
