Brain Cancer Survivor, Michael Stolfi, Shares His Incredible Story

Author: BrainTumorResearch Run

Hi. My name is Michael Stolfi. I'm a Pensacola native, proudly born and raised. I now live in Portland, Oregon with my wife and two young kids. In 2012, I was diagnosed with a Stage 4 type of brain cancer. I'm here five years later, statistically improbable five years as far as brain cancer goes, to ask for your support for the 2017 run for Brain Cancer Research.

Advances in brain cancer research is moving forward but we need to pick up the pace. I'll give you an example, the chemotherapy that helps save my life has only been around for a short period of time. We need to move forward. There are not very many brain tumor survivors walking around the day but I was fortunate enough to meet Greg and his initiatives to start this race to help fund research for this terrible disease. Brain cancer is a killer. It does not discriminate. It kills the young the middle-aged, the old, despite all our advances in medicine and research and cancer in general, we need to move forward.

Please come out and support this race Please give people like Greg and I a chance to help enjoy our friends, our family, to enjoy life in general. Thank you so much.
